You asked for a more mobile and user friendly website and we answered. The Jacksonville Public Library has launched an improved website to better serve your needs. Besides the new mobile responsive design, the new site now looks like an actual website (imagine that)! Before, the website was definitely informational, but hard to use. We've kept the same great information and resources, but presented in a format that is easier to navigate and more pleasant to look at!
We’re always telling you just how much we appreciate you. We value your support, as customers, as readers, as general supporters for the library. Recently we got a little love back when Rita Offindani sent us some mementos all the way from Tenerife which is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands! The box was filled with art. Each piece was so dynamic but don't just take our word for it, see for yourself!
The stage has been set, the gauntlet thrown and we want to see you rise to the occasion! It's summertime and our theme is Build a Better World. We have a lot of programs at your local library for kids and adults to celebrate the summer, but we have a special challenge for you, a Kindness Challenge.
Stacey Goldring, host of the monthly First Coast ConnectBook Club on 89.9 WJCT and creator of the Chapter Endnotes Bookclub generously invited me to attend one of her meetings a few months ago. What I experienced totally changed my perspective about what book clubs are and what they're supposed to be!
What makes a good library great? Without question, it is the support the library receives from private citizens who understand and value the essential role a library plays in the life of the community.
