Summer Lunch Volunteer

This summer to help ensure that kids do not go hungry while school is out of session, the Library will be partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida to distribute free lunches to all children 18 years and younger. Volunteers will assist with room setup, distributing lunches, and cleanup.  Volunteers may be asked to assist with other activities in the room while the children are eating.  This program runs from June 10 through August 2, 2024.

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Qualifications: Ability to perform assigned tasks in an independent, friendly, and professional manner with minimal errors.  Will need to be able to move tables and chairs.
  • Availability: Monday - Friday
    • Highlands and Webb Libraries:  12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
    • Pablo Creek Library:  10:30 am - 12:30 pm
    • Graham and University Park Libraries:  11: 30 am - 1:30 pm
    • Bradham & Brooks and Regency Square Libraries: 12 pm - 2 pm
  • Location: Bradham & Brooks, Dallas Graham, Highlands, Pablo Creek, University Park, and Webb Wesconnett.
  • Number of volunteers needed: 2 per day
