father and daughters summer learning

We’re heading into summer and that means fun, sun, and NO SCHOOL! While your kids may think they are too cool for school it’s important to keep them reading. Jax Makerspace Logo

The Jacksonville Public Library’s Jax Makerspace is a place for making things, for hands-on opportunities to explore, collaborate and create. A multi-purpose creative space, the Jax Makerspace is located at the Main Library and features the Jax Makerspace Gallery with rotating exhibits that highlight the local arts community.

How To: Access Free Tutoring

Alex Bishop here from the Teen Department at the Main Branch of the Jacksonville Public Library! I work with teens ages 12 – 18 in the Teen Room located on the ground floor near Jax Makerspace. Teens don't always want our help, but one of the most common issues teens come to me with are questions on homework help and applying for jobs.

How To: e-Books, Audiobooks and More!

It’s 2018 and everyone wants instant access to materials at any hour! We get it—we do too! To accommodate the need for instant information and entertainment, JPL has awesome online resources that everyone in our community should be taking advantage of.
