Photo Scanning

Preserve your priceless photographs, letters and scrapbook pages for you and future generations to share and enjoy. Sign up for a convenient two-hour appointment. You’ll get advice, training and learn what you need to know to use our scanners to save your personal historic information to your own memory card or blank DVD.

Do you have boxes of old photographs lying around? Have you ever wanted to put them on DVD or share them online? The library can help. Slides and negatives can also be scanned.

We have an Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner. It can scan multiple photos at once.

After scanning,  a memory card

or blank DVD+/-R is necessary to store the files. These can be purchased at nominal cost at many retailers. The library can make suggestions but does not sell storage.

Adobe Photoshop is available for editing after scanning. Slideshows viewable in DVD Players can be created using Adobe Encore. Knowledgeable Staff can provide assistance with the software depending on project needs.
