Main Library to Host 2017 Florida Regional Braille Challenge (Jan. 27, 2017)

Students Will Engage in a “A Decade of Dots” Competitions and Activities to Celebrate the Tenth Year of the Florida Braille Challenge

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 27, 2017 – The Jacksonville Public Library is pleased to host the North Florida Regional Braille Challenge for a third consecutive year. Schools in Duval, St. Johns and Clay counties will send more than 50 kindergarten through high school students to compete. The Main Library is one of four regional Florida hosts for the 2017 competition, which is themed “A Decade of Dots.”

McKenzie will oversee sales and marketing and operations for the downtown destination venue, which encompasses 20,000 square feet and includes ballroom/multipurpose space, meeting rooms, a courtyard, auditorium, and more, available for public library events and for private rental.
