It’s hard to imagine a world without the soul-stirring poems of Maya Angelou, the comic verse of Ogden Nash, or the influential works of Walt Whitman, the father of free verse. Now during National Poetry Month, you can kick up your own poetry appreciation—and enjoyment—with poetry programs and more.
The Jacksonville Public Library is teaming up with Action News Jax's evening anchor, Tenikka Hughes, San Marco Books and More, 95.1 WAPE and 96.9 The Eagle for the second annual Tenikka's Books for Kids Book Drive. These choices are some of their favorite books and authors or reads they need to share with others. This month we were giving thanks for some of our most avid young readers and trying to appease the dinos!
Hey authors, are you looking to participate in the literary event of the year? Check out the Jax Book Fest at the Main Library on Saturday, March 3, 2018. It’s the best chance for readers to meet and mingle with best-selling and local authors, purchase books, attend workshops and favorite genres.
