Earn a High School Diploma and Career Certificate
The FY19-20 State Budget does not include funding for the Career Online High School Program that Jacksonville Public Library has been offering since December 2015. The State Library is investigating options to continue funding for this impactful program. To date, 150 people have enrolled in the program and 74 people have graduated with their Career Online High School Diploma with 82% of those enrolled in a higher education program.
Career Online High School: Career Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program funded by the Jacksonville Public Library. This program offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified adult students.
Residents of Duval County who have completed eighth grade and are 18 years old or older are eligible to apply. Program applicants must have a Jacksonville Public Library card in good standing or be willing to apply for a library card.
