Photo Opportunity: Friends of Beach Branch Library Donate $25,000 for City's Landscaping Project at the Branch (July 5, 2016)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 5, 2016 – The Friends of the Beaches Branch Library will present a check for $25,000 to the

Jacksonville Public Library to enhance the City of Jacksonville's landscaping project at the branch. The project kicks off on

July 6, with a photo opportunity featuring a groundbreaking and check presentation in honor of the collaboration between

the Friends and the City.

Speakers at the event include Barbara Gubbin, Library Director; Josh Messinger, President of the Friends of the Beaches

Branch Library; Harriet Pruette, Neptune Beach Mayor; Councilman Bill Gulliford; and Sybil Ansbacher, Library Trustee.

 

Also on hand will be Mitch Reeves, Mayor of Atlantic Beach; Mark Wood, Past Chair of the Library Board of Trustees; Elaine

Brown, Neptune Beach mayoral candidate; and several other city officials and VIPs.

 

Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
