Keys on Parade is a nonprofit after school program, providing impactful group piano classes to children in the Duval County Public Schools. Children enrolled in the program are stimulated and nourished with much needed exposure to music education, while learning fun piano ensembles and at home practice techniques.
The program is headed by Dr. Lucy Chen, who received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from Boston University. As a firm believer in the comprehensive music approach, she founded the Keys on Parade group piano program, a quality, tuition-free group piano program serving underrepresented students in the Jacksonville urban core. In August 2014, Dr. Lucy Chen accepted a position as the Assistant Professor of Piano at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida.
