If you're like us then you are always looking for your next great read. As always, we're here to help! Once a month we compile weekly suggestions from our staff right here for you. Find out what our librarians are reading, who their favorite authors are (and why) and more! Follow along with #JPLPicks on our FacebookInstagram, and Twitter and right here on our blog! We'd love to see what you're reading! If you want to share your own #JPLPicks with us feel free to send us a photo of you with your book and tell us why you want to recommend it!

"Ones and Zeroes: A Mirador novel" by Dan Wells is up for our #JPLPickstoday thanks to Christie at south Mandarin! It's the second in the series which follows Marisa and her friends in a futuristic dystopian Los Angeles dealing with corruption in the video world she participates in. Jump headlong into this world of corruption and intrigue! http://bit.ly/jplzerosandones

Cheryl from Beaches is reeling us in with an "almost Gothic, but not quite," read for #JPLPicks. "The protagonist of "Grief Cottage" by Gail Godwin is a young boy who has an old soul. The prose is very good, Godwin is an author who has written many books and her talent shows." Tell us what you think of the prose from this almost gothic story: http://bit.ly/jplgriefcottage

We've got a high fantasy #JPLpicks from Alicia this week! She recommends "Dragonriders of Pern" by Anne McCaffrey because it has “an imaginative setting, political intrigue, rich characters, steamy romance and PLENTY of dragons all combined to make this series the first to hook me on Sci-Fi and Fantasy.” It’s still one of her favorites:http://bit.ly/jplpern
