Children's Authors and Illustrators Week

Children's Authors and Illustrators Week

Celebrate Your Favorite Children's Books

Children's Authors and Illustrators Week is the first week in February! This is a wonderful chance to really get in the spirit of encouraging a lifelong love of reading by participating in events such as author and illustrator visits to your school, story times, literary presentations, writing workshops, and more.

The Jacksonville Public Library features a variety of activities that are intended to promote literacy in an engaging and interactive way. We have programs for children of every age, story times and more happening almost every day! To find events at your local branch, click on the events sections of our website and search for branch location and date!

Be sure to check out our list of books below that feature some of Jacksonville Public Library’s favorites for Children’s Authors and Illustrators Week. There are picture books, chapter books and graphic novels!
