Books For Kids

Tennika Hughes, Action News Jax, Books for Kids, March 3-17th

Literacy is a vitally important tool for kids to succeed yet many underprivileged children in our area don't have books of their own.

Action News Jax Family Focus, 95.1 WAPE and the Jacksonville Public Library are teaming up to change that with Tenikka's Books for Kids.

Tenikka's Books for Kids is a book drive that will collect new children's books for the Jacksonville Public Library's summer learning programs. All eligible books will be given out to children enrolled in the program so that they can have reading materials of their own.

The book drive will kick off at the Jax Book Fest on Saturday, March 3. Over the next two weeks, you'll be able to donate books at any Jacksonville Public Library location. Saturday, March 17 will be the last day to donate.

You can also drop books off at the Action News Jax studios and the 95.1 WAPE studios.

If you have additional questions about the drive, please send an email to events@actionnewsjax.com.
