Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar, but can’t find the time? Come by the Jax Makerspace on your lunch break! Learn basic guitar technique, chords, songs, and more. Use one of our guitars, or bring your own! Guitar ownership not mandatory, but highly recommended for practicing.

Free Tax Preparation by AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

Jacksonville Public Library and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Foundation partner each year to bring FREE tax preparation to the community. AARP Tax-Aide sites are serviced by IRS-certified volunteers that provide FREE tax counseling and preparation services to millions of low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. There is no income or age limit for assistance at AARP TaxAide sites; however, AARP sites cannot assist rental property owners or small business owners.
