Group Guitar Lessons at the Main Library
Program Description:
Free Guitar Lessons for children 9-14.
Guitar ownership is not mandatory, but highly recommended for practicing.
Learn basic guitar technique, chords, songs and more!
Students may currently register for only one session. Each session is limited to 10 students on a first come, first served basis.
Students are expected to attend every class in the session as the learning process is cumulative. Please do not sign up if your child cannot make it to every class in the session.
Beginning Classes
- Session 1: (Session Full)
- October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 with optional September 24 orientation.
- Session 2: (Session Full)
- November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10 with optional October 25 orientation.
- Session JAN101: (2009) (Session Full)
Only Children Ages 9-11
- January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11
- January 7 Optional Orientation
- Each class Wednesday 5-6:00 p.m.
- Session MAR101: (2009) (Session Full)
Only Children Ages 12-14
- March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1
- February 25 Optional Orientation
- Each class Wednesday 5-6:00 p.m.
Advanced Classes

Wednesday 5:00-6:00 p.m.
- *Class limited to students completing Session 101 or those passing a proficiency interview.
- Proficiency Interview
- Held between 10a.m.-4p.m. on November 7 and November 8.
- Come with your guitar on these days to meet with Mr. Josh.
