ESL Volunteer Tutor

Help improve the speaking, reading and writing skills of adults whose native language is not English.

(Volunteers needed at University Park, Pablo Creek, Southeast and West Regional libraries)

  • Volunteers work with small groups of learners (typically 4-8 students per group)
  • Volunteers do not need to speak languages other than English
  • Volunteers are asked to make a 6-month commitment (2 hours, twice weekly)
  • Training and materials are provided free of charge
  • Morning, afternoon and evening schedules are available
  • Volunteers receive continual support through a TEAM TEACHING approach
