Magazine Work

Hep, Hip, and Bronze Thrills were popular magazines in the 1950's through the 1970's written especially for African American women. Each month these publications offered their readers "...a fresh batch of emotionally charged, compelling reader-to-reader stories that were heartbreaking, hilarious and inspiring." They offered a "look into the hearts and homes of African-American women, revealing their greatest joys and disappointments" as well as "helpful advice and suppport pieces." Bronze Thrills is still published today.

Mr. Jones frequently contributed cover phtography and photo illustrations to accompany articles in these publications.
